Writer Isaac Oliver makes his Joe's Pub debut to celebrate the release of his book, Intimacy Idiot, a hilarious and heartfelt collection of true stories about sex, love, and connection in New York City. Oliver has been hailed as a "monstrous new talent" by New York Magazine and named one of The Advocate's "People to Watch in 2015." Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing after the show.

Django A Go-Go is a festival celebrating the music of the great French guitar master, Django Reinhardt. The festival was created by NYC-based composer and guitarist Stephane Wrembel. Every other year, Wrembel and his band invite a group of extraordinary world-class musicians, all of them specialists in this particular genre, to participate in a two-week tour of the East Coast. The group discusses in chapters the artistic, political, and cultural periods in which Django proliferated. Wrembel and company will performs Reinhardt's music, as well as many of their own original compositions.

Emily Asher, trombonist and singer "of buoyant charm" (The New York Times), celebrates the release of her second full-length album, Meet Me in the Morning. The album is a tail-shaking, joy-waking, romance-making, jazzy romp about self-inquiry, reckoning and illumination, featuring five original songs and five American standards. Joining Asher are Mike Davis on trumpet and vocals, Evan Artzen on alto sax and clarinet, Nick Russo on guitar and banjo, Dalton Ridenhour on piano, Rob Adkins on bass, and Jay Lepley on drums and vocals.

Emanuel and the Fear are a Brooklyn-based rock, psychedelic, folky mess of a band with strings and analog synths and stuff. Active since 2009, the band is currently preparing their 5th release, Primitive Smile, due this year. Bandleader Emanuel Ayvas prophesizes that he "is destined to join visionaries like Frank Zappa, Danny Elfman, and Devin Townsend on a list of the most daring and distinctive bandleaders of the last fifty years," and Vulturehound Magazine announces that "Emanuel and the Fear are here with the perfect antidote amid the sea of mindless indie bravado."

Penny Arcade and her long-time collaborator Steve Zehentner, continue their development of Longing Lasts Longer, a passionate rumination on love, longing and the loss of New York's cultural identity. "If Tom Waits and Billie Holiday were to have a style child, singer-songwriter Sophie Auster would be it," writes Vogue, describing the unique blend of power and glamour that the singer-songwriter exudes. While those artists influenced her songwriting, Auster's music is wholly her own. The daughter of literary icons, Paul Auster and Siri Hustvedt, the younger Auster's talents skewed musical, beginning with her self-titled debut album at 18. While still attending Sarah Lawrence College, Auster spent her school vacations touring and performing across Europe and South America, eventually landing her on the cover of Spanish Rolling Stone in 2007. This show marks the release of her album, Dogs and Men (June 9, Out Loud Music).

My Bubba is a duo - My, from Sweden, and Bubba, from Iceland - that sings contemporary folk songs with love and ease. Known for their silky harmonies and alluring live performances (Roskilde Festival, Iceland Airwaves and support for Matthew E White and Damien Rice), their refreshing and sultry take on folk uses both exotic clap-dancing and ancient table harp. My Bubba's latest album Goes Abroader, produced by Noah Georgeson (Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom), mixes Scandinavian folk tradition with American and other more exotic influences. For their next release, they are collaborating with Shahzad Ismaily who has previously worked with Bonnie Prince Billy, Marc Ribot and Yoko Ono.

Zion80 explores Jewish music - from Shlomo Carlebach to John Zorn and everything in between - through the lens of the revolutionary Afrobeat funk master, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Led by Jon Madof (Rashanim, Matisyahu), the 11-piece band arranges Jewish melodies using the polyrhythmic intensity of Afrobeat, blended with the madness of the Downtown scene. Spiritual, grooving and endlessly exciting, this is essential Jewish music for the 21st century. This performance concludes their six-week residency.

Marieke Hardy and Michaela McGuire bring their bestselling Australian literary salon, Women of Letters to New York as a monthly event and celebration of a diverse range of strong female talent. New York's best and brightest writers, entertainers and artists perform a reading of a letter they've written to the theme of the evening. Proceeds from Women of Letters shows are donated to charity, with over $500,000 being raised globally to date. NYC events benefit the New York Women's Foundation.

CHARLIE HUNTER TRIO: LET THE BELLS RING ON ALBUM RELEASE

The Charlie Hunter Trio is a collaboration of musicians Charlie Hunter on 7-string, Bobby Previte on drums and Curtis Fowlkes on trombone. First coming to prominence in the early 1990s, Hunter has recorded 17 albums. He plays custom-made seven and eight-string guitars, on which he simultaneously plays basslines, rhythm guitar and solos. Drummer, composer, bandleader and improviser Previte, a New Yorker since 1979, is known for his major contributions to NYC's legendary downtown experimental music scene. Fowlkes first came to prominence in the 1980s as a member of John Lurie's the Lounge Lizards. In 1987, he and saxophonist Roy Nathanson, both members of the Lounge Lizards, founded The Jazz Passengers, an eclectic group dedicated to putting entertainment and humor back into jazz.

Elizabeth Ziman and Paul Brill met sharing stages with their respective bands in 2010 and soon forged a successful writing partnership for film and television. Together, the two have scored a wide variety of award-winning feature films and television specials, ranging from documentaries to romantic comedies, program themes, and even a selection alongside the likes of Daft Punk and Animal Collective on a Fraggle Rock tribute compilation. Ziman and Brill will bring their recent compositions to life at Joe's Pub accompanied by a wide range of collaborators and renowned instrumentalists. The two will also perform favorite selections from their song catalogs and will welcome a number of special guest performances.

Tammy Faye Starlite is back with her new piece, a panoramic retrospective that traces the evolution of the legend Marianne Faithfull from 1960s pop ingénue ("As Tears Go By") through her drug addiction in the 1970s when she was a "heroine" of country-folk ("The Day That Coke Came to Nashville") to her emergence as a respected artist, making music on her own terms within the 1980s, concurrent with the release of Broken English. She will be joined by two brilliant musicians providing bare, acoustic accompaniment: Barry Reynolds and Kevin Salem.

ELIZAVETA: MESSENGER ALBUM RELEASE

With her debut 2012 record Beatrix Runs (Universal Republic), Elizaveta distinguished herself as the "5th Element" of pop by mixing opera with electronica, classical and soul. The singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist went on to singlehandedly produce her 2014 EP Hero, the title track going viral and getting hundreds of remixes featured all across the web. The American-born Russian chanteuse had a very busy year in 2014 with singles charting both in USA and Russia, touring with a symphony orchestra, contributing to the soundtracks for shows like Scandal and The Affair, and being the voice of the Bard in the award-winning Dragon Age Inquisition game. After her critically acclaimed premiere at New York's Prototype Festival 2014, Elizaveta returns to Joe's Pub to launch her new album Messenger. Her new single 'Trap' (currently featured in a major Russian motion picture) is out May 18, 2015 worldwide.
