Catch Me If You Can is a musical drama based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg film of the same name, which itself is based on the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr. . The musical features a libretto by Terrence McNally and a score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The story follows Frank Abagnale Jr., a young con artist who successfully impersonates a variety of professionals, including a pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer, all before his 21st birthday. FBI agent Carl Hanratty is hot on his trail, but Frank is always one step ahead. The musical explores themes of identity, father-son relationships, and the allure of the fast life.
