Suzanne Young is a free lance costume designer with over 30 years experience in the world of costuming. British born, Suzanne trained at the Wimbledon School of Art and Design and then with some of the top costumers in London. While there she worked on costumes for the BBC, film, theatre, opera and dance. Her career continued in Boston, MA, where she designed for the Boston Lyric Opera, the Opera Company of Boston, The Cathedral of St John the Divine in New York, Boston University, and the University of Connecticut Music Dept. Since moving to Ann Arbor, MI, Suzanne has designed for Jeff Daniel?s Purple Rose Theatre, The Performance Network of Ann Arbor, Pine Mountain Music Festival, the Ann Arbor Symphony, the Wild Swan Theater, The Tipping Point Theatre, The University of Michigan, and Michigan Shakespeare Festival. Suzanne has received many Wilde Award nominations and was awarded Best Costume Design for Michigan Shakespeare Festival?s ?Importance of Being Earnest?, she also won the Subscriber?s Choice Award for best costumes 3 times for Performance Network productions.

To top off its 38th season, Wild Swan Theater will present an original musical adaptation of L. Frank Baum's much loved fantasy, The Wizard of Oz. Join Dorothy as she travels the yellow brick road to the fabled Emerald City with her new friends the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion.
