Playhouse Theatre Academy will offer a three-part audition workshop for adults (ages 17 and up). The workshop will be held on July 24th (Musical Theatre), 25th (Dance/Choreography), and 26th (Acting) at the 224 EcoSpace in Hartford, CT.

Created by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick, and successful screenwriters Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, Something Rotten was lauded by audience members and critics alike, receiving Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League and Grammy Award nominations for Best Musical in 2015.

It seems these days that every other musical opening on Broadway is based on a popular film. From PRETTY WOMAN to BEETLEJUICE, Broadway has been home to film adaptations for years. Sometimes these can be a mixed bag, but sometimes they shine as brightly (or even brighter) than their original source material. Such is the case for LEGALLY BLONDE, with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and Book by Heather Hach, which is currently playing at the Enfield Annex, produced by the Opera House Players.
