Audiences can prepare for “some kind of wonderful” when Bill Hanney’s award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) opens its 68th Anniversary Season with the Tony® & Grammy Award®-winning Broadway hit BEAUTIFUL - The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, playing from Tuesday, June 6 thru Sunday, June 18, 2023.

For its third 2022 main stage production, Maine State Music Theatre has mounted a brilliant, beautiful, authentic, and heartwarming staging of the musical adaptation of Alice Walker’s epistolary novel, THE COLOR PURPLE. This epic story chronicles the journeys of its complex characters through hardship and pain to hope and healing. Inspirational and uplifting, it is a tale of resilience, redemption, and love, that speaks with powerful universality, and in this stunning production, directed by E. Faye Butler, it becomes one of those unforgettable, transformative moments in the theatre.

Maine State Music Theatre’s second main stage production, perennial favorite, JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, takes the Pickard stage by storm, exploding with color, energy, and sheer irrepressible joy. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s early collaboration based on the Book of Genesis has as its central metaphor the coat of many colors, and like that kaleidoscopic garment, the show itself is a rich, eclectic tapestry that weaves together musical and choreographic genres, ancient and modern sensibilities, and perhaps best of all in this production – a diverse and deeply talented cast that is beautiful to behold.

The Tony nominated musical hit DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS offers side slitting laughs to welcome back the iconic award winning theatre. This outrageous comedy is sure to deliver the laughs and levity we all need after the past two years,” said Andrew Kato, Producing Artistic Director and Chief Executive. The melodic music and clever lyrics are a gift by David Yazbek. The hysterical book is by Jeffrey Lane. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is based on the 1988 film of the same name.

The Weathervane Theatre, a professional, award-winning, equity theatre in Whitefield, NH, is thrilled to announce the 2019 54th Summer Season of alternating rep. Under Producing Artistic Director Ethan Paulini, the Weathervane will present 8 weeks of musicals, comedies and classics never before seen on the Weathervane stage. FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents The Ladies Who Lunch 2: Another Evening for Planned Parenthood of NYC, on February 16th, 2019, at 11:30 PM. This incredible encore performance will raise even more funds for this fantastic cause. Directed and produced by Claire Manship and the evening's performers,The Ladies Who Lunch 2 is a night featuring songs that help woman verbalize, vent, and discuss their specific issues, wherein half of the proceeds will go to Planned Parenthood of NYC.

Based on Victor Hugo's novel, the script of the musical is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, with music by Schonberg and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. Performances of CRT's production will run from tonight, July 9 - 26 with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on July 11, 13, 16, 20, and 23 at 2:00 PM.
