Colleen Smith Wallnau, M.F.A., Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, B.A., The College of New Jersey. Colleen has taught, lectured, and conducted workshops at Centenary College, Drew University, Gately-Poole Studios, the George School, and the New Jersey Governorís School for Theatre Scholars in Acting, Voice and Articulation, Film Appreciation, and Audition Skills. She is presently on the Voice and Speech faculty at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre where she is an Instructor of Speech. She has worked in the professional theatre for over 30 years on Broadway, off-Broadway, regionally and internationally.



Broadway; Crazy for You, Off-Broadway; Joseph Papp Public Theatre (Through Darkest Ohio), SoHo Rep (On The Verge), Peccadillo Theatre (Beggar on Horseback), and the Mint Theatre (The Flattering Word and Oroonoko) among others. Regional theatre; Paper Mill Playhouse (An Ideal Husband), Asolo Repertory Theatre (The Dark of the Moon, The Winslow Boy, The Dining Room) and Meadowbrook Theatre (A View from the Bridge) among others.



Colleen appeared in the one-woman show Mary Todd: A Woman Apart both regionally for the Centenary Stage Company and in its off-Broadway run at the Samuel Beckett Theatre.



William Esper, Bobby Lewis and Vivian Matalon shaped her acting training. And she credits Patsy Rodenburg, Catherine Fitzmaurice, Kristen Linklater, Louis Colaianni, Andrea Haring, Dudley Knight and Phil Thompson for their expertise in shaping her voice and speech technique and teaching. She is currently working toward her Speech certification in the Knight/Thompson Technique.



Colleen is a proud member of (VASTA) Voice and Speech Trainers Assoc., Actorís Equity, Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA. Colleen received her MFA in Acting is from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts and her BA. in Theatre Arts and English Education from The College of New Jersey.
