BIO
Zeljko Djukic (Director) is a theatre director, teacher and founder of the Chicago theatre company TUTA. He studied and then taught at Belgrade’s Drama Arts School and University of Maryland at College Park. Zeljko has worked across the US, including Washington DC, Chicago, LA, Richmond VA, and New York, and internationally across former Yugoslavia. His recent productions include: Fool for Love (Facility Theatre Chicago), Music Hall (59e59 Theatre NYC and TUTA), Gentle, The Dumb Waiter, Baal, Romeo and Juliet, Uncle Vanya (TUTA), Homebody/Kabul (National Theatre in Belgrade Serbia), First Ladies and Judith (Trap Door Theatre). Zeljko's productions have been among the 10 best of the year in Chicago multiple times in the Chicago Tribune, and Uncle Vanya was proclaimed the best production of 2008 in the Chicago Reader. Zeljko is teaching acting and directing at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a recipient of Fulbright Scholar Award. Zeljko is a multiple time nominee for Joseph Jefferson and Helen Hayes awards.
