The Television Academy tonight presented the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday night honoring outstanding artistic and technical achievement in television at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The Saturday ceremony, which kicked-off the 70th Emmys, awarded many talented artists and craftspeople in the categories of animation, scripted programming including comedy, drama and limited series. The Sunday ceremony honored performers, artists and craftspeople for excellence in variety, nonfiction or reality programming, reality competition programming, music, choreography, as well as documentary or nonfiction specials, informational series or specials.

Some highlights of what's coming up this summer at Wolf Trap include: The Firebird (July 23); Star Trek Into Darkness with the NSO - and a pre-show Trek talk with Adam Nimoy (Leonard's son), Dave Zappone (For the Love of Spock), and Terry Farrell (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) along with several NASA staff (July 30); and the National Park Service Centennial celebration weekend, which features performances by Ricky Martin (August 24+25), Aretha Franklin (August 26), and Bonnie Raitt (Augsut 27). The Tenth Annual Cabaret Night gala to benefit Hershey Area Playhouse will feature Hershey natives and Broadway performers Jane Brockman and David Michael Felty, along with his wife, professional entertainer Jennifer Felty. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Hershey Country Club.

This February, TV celebrities and new Hershey area residents Terry Farrell ('Becker', 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' and 'Back To School') and Brian Baker (best known as 'The SPRINT PCS Guy') will star in the Hershey Area Playhouse production of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters. The production will be the first collaborative project, and Playhouse debut, for this real-life husband and wife. Farrell began her career as an Elite Fashion Model, and was featured on the covers of Elle, Vogue, Mademoiselle, and Self.
