T. Cat Ford’s POW’R IN THE BLOOD (New Works of Merit Playwriting Contest, Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights), opened Barter Theatre’s 75th Anniversary season. In September 2016, the York Theatre Company welcomed the return of its New2NY Series with the New York Premiere of the Ms. Ford's political cabaret HOW TO BE AN AMERICAN! Her ten minute play, Gut Shot, is published in the collection STAGE THIS! TOO! and was presented in the SHE SPEAKS! Festival in Kitchener, Ontario. A SIMPLE GIFT, her exploration of 19th century Shakerism was a semi-finalist for the 2003 Mill Mountain Theatre New Play Competition and finalist for the 2004 National Playwrights Conference. ROAR LIONS! ROAR!!, finalist 2002 Mill Mountain Theatre New Play competition received a workshop production sponsored by Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre. Other plays include: searchers.me, a computer dating extravaganza for baby boomers; MERMEN, a space coast tale of love and mermaids, and THE CHAOS TRADE, an insiders view of the financial crisis of 2008. In association with Rhymes Over Beats, she is currently sponsoring The Coffee County Memory Project - The Integration Years (1966-1972), an oral history project that will result in a book and a play. Ms. Ford is a fellow of New River Dramatists. She is the 2014 recipient of Theatre Resources Unlimited "The Big Kahuna" New Producer Endowment.
