Stefan Dzeparoski, Director

Stefan Dzeparoski is New York based internationally acclaimed director. His work is epic, dramatic and above all, cinematic. His main focus are stage practices at the cross section of art and technology. His multimedia project Delete was featured at Prague Quadrennial.
Most recently his work has been seen Off-Broadway (Wide Awake Hearts by Brendan Gall, BirdLand Theatre at 59E59 Theatres, and The Birds by Conor McPherson, BirdLand Theatre at 59E59 Theatre). For BirdLand Theatre he directed Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph, Fortune and Men’s Eyes, After The Fall by Arthur Miller, Roberto Zucco by Bernard Marie Koltes. In Europe he staged Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee (Belgrade International Theatre Festival), and Quartet by Heiner Muller. He teaches Acting, Directing (Multimedia in Theatre Practice), Creative Performance Studies, Collective Creation (University of Alberta, Ryerson University, University of Toronto, New School for Drama, Royal St. George College). Stefan holds MFA in Theatre Directing and MA in Theatre Studies. He also is an alumnus of Directors Lab (2011) at the Lincoln Centre Theatre. Stefan is an award winning director (BroadwayWorld, Best Director), and was nominated for Sterling Award in Directing and John Hirsh Award.

59E59 Theaters Sets 2016 Summer Season


59E59 Theaters has announced the lineup of shows for the 2016 Summer Season. Ticket prices range from $12 - $70 ($10 - $49 for 59E59 Members). Tickets for the summer season go on sale to 59E59 Members on June 2 at Noon, and to the general public on June 6 at Noon. Shows in the previously announced 5A Season are on sale now. WIDE AWAKE HEARTS to Receive NYC Premiere at 59E59 Theaters


59E59 Theaters will welcome the US debut of BirdLand Theatre with the NYC premiere of WIDE AWAKE HEARTS, written by Brendan Gall and directed by Stefan Dzeparoski. WIDE AWAKE HEARTS begins performances on Thursday, January 14 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 7.  Press opening is Thursday, January 21 at 7:15 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note: there is an added performance on Sunday, January 17 at 7:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues).
