Toronto, Ontario...BirdLand Theatre in collaboration with Artepunkt-Belgrade, Serbia and Lauerat-Novi Sad, is proud to present a bold new theatrical experience Mari(j)a is Everywhere, inspired by the plays NOISE and ABYSS from internationally renowned German playwright of Serbian origin Maria Milisavljevic.

BirdLand Theatre will present a bold new staged reading of Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek's groundbreaking play On the Royal Road: The Burgher King at Innis College Town Hall, 2 Sussex Avenue, Toronto, on November 9 at 3.30pm.

As part of the 2018 PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature, the International Play Festival will showcase play readings by ten voices from around the globe. With playwrights hailing from four different continents, the Festival aims to enrich awareness of global dialogues, by bridging American audiences and international theatre-makers. All readings will be followed by a discussion with the playwright and director.

The 9th annual Origin's 1st Irish Festival is announcing today that New York's the cell has earned the most nominations (five in all), for its critically acclaimed production of 'Crackskull Row.'

The NYC premiere of The Birds is onstage at 59E59 Theaters now through October 1st. It is written by the celebrated playwright, Conor McPherson and directed by Stefan Dzeparoski as part of 1st Irish Festival. The play is a fascinating, outstanding adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's spine tingling novellete about flocks of birds and seabirds that attack a community.

59E59 Theaters has announced the lineup of shows for the 2016 Summer Season. Ticket prices range from $12 - $70 ($10 - $49 for 59E59 Members). Tickets for the summer season go on sale to 59E59 Members on June 2 at Noon, and to the general public on June 6 at Noon. Shows in the previously announced 5A Season are on sale now. 59E59 Theaters will welcome the US debut of BirdLand Theatre with the NYC premiere of WIDE AWAKE HEARTS, written by Brendan Gall and directed by Stefan Dzeparoski. WIDE AWAKE HEARTS begins performances on Thursday, January 14 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 7.  Press opening is Thursday, January 21 at 7:15 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note: there is an added performance on Sunday, January 17 at 7:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues).
