Inspired by legendary cartoonist, Peter Arno's work for The New Yorker, this upbeat and dazzling soundtrack captures the hustling energy of New York, from the second you press play. The release is the first major cast album of the 1930 musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, book by Herbert Fields, and based on a story by Peter Arno and E. Ray Goetz. The 2017 production from New York City Center (Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO) Encores! was directed by John Rando, with musical direction by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman and choreography by Chris Bailey.

Music Director Rob Berman and choreography by Chris Bailey. The concert adaptation is by Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel. The album, produced by Rob Berman and Lawrence Manchester, is being recorded March 25-26.

The Traverse announces its Spring/Summer 2017 season today, December 12. The work presented has been selected to directly address a mix of both long-existent and emergent social, political and technological challenges, and comes from some of the most exciting companies in the UK.

The Tron 100 Festival is a week of new short plays written, performed and directed by members of the Tron Theatre's professional development initiative, the Tron 100 Club. Spanning from new writing to devised work over five nights of performance, the Festival will celebrate the talent and creative collaborations established by the artistic community of the Tron 100.

Opening Theatre Royal Stratford East's 2016 season is Peter Arnott's production about one of rock's greatest female icons, Janis Joplin. Blending theatre with the feel and atmosphere of a legendary rock gig it's no wonder Janis Joplin: Full Tilt has picked up multiple awards, and sold out its runs at Edinburgh's Fringe Festival. Janis Joplin: Full Tilt is running from Wednesday 10 February to Saturday 5 March, with press night on Thursday 11 February.

Theatre Royal Stratford East announces its programme of productions taking place from February - June 2016 and the 2016/17 pantomime. The year ahead sees the theatre staying true to its commitment to develop and produce new plays and musicals, as well as reviving one of its most successful runs of the last few years.
