The Apollo Theater announced today that it is undertaking the initial phase of the iconic Theater's transformation into the Apollo Performing Arts Center through two new theaters within the Victoria Theater Redevelopment Project at 233 West 125th Street.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) is proud to announce the appointment of Carl Cofield as Associate Artistic Director. Cofield comes to the organization with a long history of directing for CTH and regional theaters across America. He is also a theater instructor and is currently on faculty at The New School and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The Apollo Theater will soon present The Classical Theatre of Harlem's production of THE FIRST NOEL from December 10-18, 2016. Following its world premiere in 2015 on the Theater's soundstage, the Harlem-based holiday musical makes an unprecedented move to the Apollo's mainstage this year, as part of the institution's "Holidays at the Apollo" programming.

Peggy King, one of the last of the great Golden Age singers still performing today, will return to Feinstein's/54 Below for a special appearance on Saturday, March 5 at 9:30 PM, accompanied by the acclaimed All-Star Jazz Trio.  She will be celebrating the release of her first new recording in 36 years, "Songs a La King" on Fresh Sound Records.

Lambertville, New Jersey's Downtown Performing Arts Center has announced a 6-week summer class schedule focusing on Teen and Adult Acting, Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary Dance. Classes will take place on Tuesday evenings between 5 pm and 8 pm from July 7 through August 11 at the Downtown Performing Arts Studios located at 54 Mt. Airy Village Rd. in Lambertville.

The concert will be dedicated to the memory of Al Rinaldi, the late Chairman of Jacobs Music Company, a tireless champion of pianists, from young students through the leading lights of the international concert stage.

Peggy King, one of the most popular TV and recording stars of the 1950's, will make her first Los Angeles appearance in more than 30 years on Sunday, July 27 at 7:30 PM at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. Joining her will be acclaimed pianist, harpist and vocalist Corky Hale, leading an all-star quartet including Lymon Medeiros on bass, Jack LeCompte on drums and John Chiodini on guitar.
