OUTBOX and Shoreditch Town Hall today announce the full cast and creative team for brand-new production GROOVE. Artistic Director of OUTBOX Ben Buratta directs intergenerational cast of queer dancers and actors.

Go down to the very bottom floor of the Barbican theatre and you'll find the Pit, where performers Mzz Kimberley, Felix Mufti and Ebony Rose Dark are celebrating the creativity of trans artists using dance, rap and theatre.

Straight White Men by Korean American playwright Young Jean Lee is a hilarious and revealing play about the most unoppressed of this world’s peoples.   

Taking place 7-8 July, the Engine Room Film Festival will showcase emerging and established filmmakers from the South West, celebrating local talent on the main stage of Salisbury Playhouse.  

The Old Vic today announced the two new specially commissioned monologues for Queers, curated by Mark Gatiss, to mark Pride Month. I Threw It, written by Travis Alabanza and performed by Kim Tatum AKA Mzz Kimberley, and Bee, by Jade Anouka and performed by Pearl Mackie, will be directed by Sean Linnen. 

The two shows form part of a 14-strong programme of new productions which have been specially selected by a panel of industry experts. The announcement coincides with June being Pride Month 2021.

Ronke Adekoluejo, Ebony Bones, Alison Halstead, Rubyyy Jones, Cassie Layton and Eva Magyar have been cast in the world premiere of Hole, written by Ellie Kendrick and directed by Helen Goalen and Abbi Greenland from RashDash.

Lizan Mitchell (TV: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Good Wife, The Wire. Broadway: Electra, Having Our Say, So Long on Lonely Street) and Kim Tatum aka Mzz Kimberley (TV: EastEnders and Cold Feet, Project Cat Walk Theatre: Summer; Theatre Royal Stratford East) are set to star in the first UK run of acclaimed US social satire 'Dead and Breathing' By Chisa Hutchinson. They will be playing at Unity (Liverpool) 7 - 17 Feb 2018 and then The Albany (London) 19 Feb - 3 March 2018
