The Broadway casts of Ain't Too Proud and Girl From the North Country will appear on CNN's The Fourth in America special honoring the military, frontline workers and civilians and activists working toward social change. 

'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' draws from American literature and a variety of cinematic treatments. In typical Synetic fashion, however, the story is quite literally turned on its head.

TheatreLAB, Richmond's home for unexpected and evocative performance, is proud to host a one night only staged reading of Wendy Wassersteins' The Heidi Chronicles, as a farewell to Associate Artistic Director,McLean Jesse (Best Actress - 2016 Style Weekly Readers Poll, Best Actress - 2015 Richmond Theatre Critics Circle Award). Directed by James Ricks, the reading and accompanying art auction will take place on July 24th at TheatreLAB's venue, The Basement.

 In response to the myriad tragedies our nation has faced in recent months, the leaders of local theater company, TheatreLAB, in cooperation with numerous members of the larger Richmond theatre community, invite the community to join them in reaching out to our political leaders through collaborative art.

It is a season that celebrates stories of women at war with themselves and the world around them. A team of all women directors will lead the four MainStage shows, as well as TheatreLAB's secondary season, The Cellar Series, which will be a year-long festival of one-woman shows.

Firehouse has announced that its current production of Jordan Harrison's MAPLE AND VINE -- a new play about old times -- that was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, May 8 will be extended for an additional five performances through Saturday, May 21, 2016.
