The sounds infusing the lobby of the Kravis Center's Cohen Pavilion on March 16 were voices from a bygone era, those that filled the airwaves when radio reigned and families gathered 'round to listen to all kinds of programs - not just music but mysteries, comedies, adventure stories, and police procedurals.

'Oh, it's very pretty, isn't it! We're going to have fun,' Truman Capote said as he walked into his Black & White Ball on November 28, 1966, according to The New York Times. He might have said the same thing on March 11, had he walked into the Kravis Center's Cohen Pavilion for Palm Beach Dramaworks 

The ribbon cutting ceremony for Palm Beach Dramaworks' Diane & Mark Perlberg Studio Theatre took place on Tuesday, April 5. Talking part were Producing Artistic Director William Hayes, Managing Director Sue Ellen Beryl, West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio, Diane Perlberg, and Mark Perlberg. The studio theatre is the home of The Dramaworkshop, PBD's lab for developing new plays. Jennifer Fawcett's Buried Cities, the lab's first developmental production, opens on Friday, April 8. West Palm Beach, FL. Legendary comic book artist, George Pérez, and his wife Phoenicia Flynn will be visiting Bak Middle School of the Arts at the invitation of the Middle School of the Arts Foundation today, February 23rd. Their visit will incorporate Master Classes for the students and a tour of the new West Palm Beach Arts District.

South Florida's most celebrated ballroom dance competition is returning on Saturday, April 28, when the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts presents the 19th annual Reach for the Stars. The annual fundraiser, hosted by the Young Friends of the Kravis Center, benefits the Kravis Center's S*T*A*R (Students and Teachers Arts Resource) Series and education programs.

Dramaworks Theatre Week will bring theatre lovers and arts professionals together for a blending of special performances and unique 'glimpses behind the scenes' of West Palm Beach's only resident professional theatre. Participants will get the chance to tour Dramaworks' new home and take part in special post show discussions, as well as the opportunity to meet members of the cast from Arthur Miller's All My Sons.
