BWW Review: HAND TO GOD at Road Less Traveled Productions Is An Irreverent Delight

Will good triumph over evil? Can you invoke the name of God to protect your positive behaviors? According to playwright Robert Askins, you can most definitely blame the powers of evil when it comes to bad deeds, and if you state 'the devil made me do it' then you are absolved of all wrong doing. Askins' play HAND TO GOD opened last night at Buffalo's Road Less Traveled Theater in a hilariously irreverent but thought inducing production.

BWW Review: THE AWFUL TRUTH at IRISH CLASSICAL THEATRE

Whatever your artistic quest may be, from unearthing gem stones or archeological ruins to discovering a lost manuscript of music, there is always an element of nostalgia and new found glee when the item arises. Stage director Fortunato Pezzimenti discovered Arthur Richman's unpublished 1922 script THE AWFUL TRUTH in the New York Public Library for The Performing Arts in 2011. Only briefly produced on Broadway in 1935, the story has been told on 3 occasions on the silver screen.

ART/WNY Announces Casts of AMERICAN IDIOT, THE UNDERPANTS & More

A great week of general auditions and callbacks for the 2016-17 season with 60+ talented individuals attending the two-night and three days of callbacks seeking to fill roles for all four ART/WNY productions. Maura Nolan, director for Halley Fieffer's HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS AND THEN KILL THEM, Jeffrey Coyle, director for Steve Martin's THE UNDERPANTS, Matthew LaChiusa, director for A BEHANDING IN SPOKANE and alongside Billy Horn, musical director for AMERICAN IDIOT, had the difficult decision to chose from all those who attended. Once the dust settled, two of the four shows have been fully cast with the other two in the process of finalizing cast lists.
