Mark Bazeley

Mark Bazeley's early television work included The Bill (1996), where he played Ben Hedges, and Feast of July (1995), in which he appeared as a man in a restaurant. He also portrayed DC Aplin in Prime Suspect: The Lost Child (1995).

Bazeley appeared in Bugs, Midsomer Murders, and Mortimer’s Law in 1998, playing Vigo, Gray Patterson, and Detective Sergeant Luscomb, respectively. He portrayed Mark Bodell in two episodes of The Broker’s Man (1998), followed by Shem in the television miniseries Noah’s Ark (1999). In 2000, he appeared in Border Cafe as Chris Caine and played DI Boyd in the television films Second Sight: Hide and Seek, Second Sight: Kingdom of the Blind, and Second Sight: Parasomnia. He also appeared in Last Days of the Post Office (2000).

His subsequent television credits included Hearts and Bones (2000–2001), in which he played Dominic Morris, and The Cazalets (2001), where he portrayed Michael Hadleigh. He appeared as Sean Henderson in Where the Heart Is (2002), followed by roles in Byron, Canterbury Tales, Holby City, Crust, and Trust in 2003. He played Trelawney in Byron, Gareth in Canterbury Tales, Peter Adams in Holby City, Clive in Crust, and Ben Stokes in Trust.

In 2004, Bazeley appeared as Geoff Markham in the television film A Line in the Sand. His television credits in 2006 and 2007 included Alastair Campbell in The Queen (2006), Paul Mills in MI-5 (2007), Saul Bruce in The Whistleblowers (2007), Pete in The Time of Your Life (2007), and Betancourt in The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). He also played Captain Richard Jannick in Flight of Fury (2007).

Bazeley portrayed Brandon Skye in New Tricks (2008), Martin Longmate in Foyle’s War (2008), Jamie Turner in Stacked (2008), and Tom Fitzalan-Howard in The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall (2008). In 2009, he appeared as Pinky Byrne in Hustle and provided narration for The Choir: Unsung Town and Famous, Rich & Homeless. He played Austin Mitchell in The Damned United (2009).

His television work in 2010 included roles as Jeff in Mistresses, DS Radcliffe in Accused, and Alastair Campbell in The Special Relationship. He also voiced The Dark Wolf and Keenan in the video game Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening (2010). In 2011, he appeared as Mike in The Body Farm, voiced characters in Star Wars: The Old Republic and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, and played Captain Ewald and Solivitus in Dragon Age II. He also narrated Michel Roux’s Service.

Bazeley played Dr. Bill Prentice in Endeavour (2013), Thomas Gann in The Suspicions of Mr Whicher (2013), and Will Brydon in the short film Drone Strike (2013). He provided narration for Capturing Oswald and The Real Story in 2013, and voiced the Sith Warrior Male in Star Wars: The Old Republic – Rise of the Hutt Cartel (2013). His 2014 credits included Patient 39, in which he played Dr. Moran, and voice work in Star Wars: The Old Republic – Shadow of Revan and Dragon Age: Inquisition. He also narrated the UK version of Codes and Conspiracies (2015).

In 2015, Bazeley appeared as Garnet Chester in The Frankenstein Chronicles and played Bob Simms in Home Fires (2015–2016). He voiced the Sith Warrior Male in Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Fallen Empire (2015). He returned to the role in Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Eternal Throne (2016), and played Jim Atwood in Broadchurch (2017). He also portrayed Jon Heighton in This World (2017) and provided voice work for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth (2018).

Bazeley played Michael Chandler in Temple (2019), narrated Secrets between 2014 and 2019, and voiced the Sith Warrior Male in Star Wars: The Old Republic – Onslaught (2019). He portrayed Robert Gelder in Hanna (2020–2021), played Sam Marshall in Cobra (2020), and voiced Albert Wilmarth, Doctor Willet, and Wilmarth in The Lovecraft Investigations (2019–2020). He also appeared in the short film Epiphany (2012) as a psychiatrist and provided voice work in Junkyard (2012).

His later credits include the short films Cub (2022), in which he played Father, and Starling (2023), in which he portrayed Mark. He voiced the Sith Warrior Male and provided additional voices in Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith (2022). In 2023, he played Victor Dalton in Secret Invasion. He portrayed Case Nolan in the podcast series Temporal (2024), Gavin in Riot Women (2025), and Jon Taylor in The Chelsea Detective (2025). In 2026, he played Jay Stanfield in the television miniseries Run Away.

He appeared in the West End in Fatal Attraction in 2014.
