Into the turmoil of a marriage in trouble comes the enigmatic and apparently deaf Mr. Poulos, a quiet man who rents a room in the Meadows' apartment to assist them in staying afloat while Jimmy looks for work. But who is he really since he never speaks and just sits at the kitchen table all day reading Greek language newspapers? But that does not seem to matter to Jimmy and Lisa, who both start confiding their deepest secrets to Mr. P in private, hoping the experience will assist them in figuring out what to do about their mixed up lives. It's cheaper than hiring a shrink, of course, even though the self-centered couple seems to only be concerned about their own needs and not their marriage.

WildTown Productions has announced a limited engagement of the world premiere comedy TELL MR. POULOS by Donald Wollner at the Dorie Theatre at the Complex in Hollywood beginning October 1. Directed by Page Burkholder, the play will begin previews on October 1 at 8pm and opening is set for Today, October 3 at 8pm. The limited engagement will run through October 25 only.

Rising Phoenix Repertory and Weathervane Productions have commissioned new plays from three female playwrights, which will each be produced over the next two seasons. Rising Phoenix Repertory's artistic director, Daniel Talbott, will direct all three plays. The first of the commissions onstage is Thieves by Charlotte Miller, making its world premiere at the Monroe Forum Theatre in North Hollywood, California, March 18, 2015 through April 4, 2015, co-produced by Rising Phoenix Repertory, Weathervane Productions and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. The brainchild of playwright Dael Orlandersmith, the all day event will take place at the Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South between West 11th & Perry Streets) on Sunday, March 11th. Doors will open at 1:30pm.
