The stellar cast includes Jennifer Lim (Chinglish), Murphy Guyer (The King & I),Louis Ozawa Changchien (The Bourne Legacy) and Leslie Fray.
PlayCo Executive Producer to Step Down

The Play Company (PlayCo)'s Founding Producer Kate Loewald announced today that fellow Executive Producer Lauren Weigel will step down from her position on June 30, 2016. The Play Company will begin the search for a new team member this week. Under Lauren Weigel's leadership as Executive Producer, PlayCo has become the only New York theater to regularly produce international contemporary plays alongside new American work. Weigel has been intrinsic in advancing PlayCo's unique commitment to premiering work from around the world to advance a dynamic, international experience of contemporary theater in New York.

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Executive Producer Lauren Weigel, is unique in its commitment to producing plays from around the world, including the U.S., to advance a dynamic, international experience of contemporary theater as part of the American repertoire. They conclude their 2013-14 season with the U.S. premiere of The Sonic Life of a Giant Tortoise: youth is not the only thing that's sonic, which reunites them with award-winning Japanese writer Toshiki Okada, director Dan Rothenberg (Pig Iron), and translator Aya Ogawa, following their collaboration on Okada's critically lauded Enjoy in 2010. The new production will run today, May 24 - June 29 at Jack in Brooklyn.

Running today, January 22-February 23 at the New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street), the production continues PlayCo's relationship with both Khemiri and director Erica Schmidt, whose multiple collaborations with the company include the Obie-winning 2011 premiere of Khemiri's Invasion! With I Call My Brothers, Khemiri moves to even more powerful and personal terrain, spinning a bold story out of a tragic event and asking: 'What happens when we start to see ourselves as others see us?'
