Laurel Brookhyser

Boston Conservatory B.F.A. Class of 2029. Recent credits at the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts: Polly Baker (Crazy for You), Fantine (Les Misérables), Donna Sheridan (Mamma Mia!), Kathy Selden (Singin’ in the Rain), Val Clarke (A Chorus Line). Originally a ballet dancer, Laurel found her love for musical theatre through a small arts program at her elementary school and has been performing ever since. Inspired by her experience, she founded the service initiative Art for the Heart through the Miss America Organization to advocate for arts education in underserved communities. Through her advocacy, she hopes that other children can discover their artistic passions through school arts programs just like she did. Laurel recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Huntington Beach High School and will be attending the Boston Conservatory at Berklee next fall to pursue a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre.
