Florida Repertory Theatre's 2020 PlayLab Festival of New Works continues Dec. 3 and 10 with live 7 PM Zoom readings of 'White Party' by Brent Askari and 'A Sherlock Carol' by Mark Shanahan. The Festival closes with a Playwrights' Panel discussion on Dec. 11 at 3:30 PM, where the festival playwrights talk about their craft and take questions from audiences.

Florida Repertory Theatre's 2020 PlayLab Festival of New Works kicks off Nov. 5th at 7 PM with the virtual reading of 'Spay' by Madison Fiedler, and continues with LIVE virtual readings on Nov. 12, 19, Dec. 3, and 10. Florida Rep has announced a whole slate of digital offerings as its Fall 2020 Virtual Season. The fall season includes the Stage@Home Virtual Talkback Series (through Oct. 30), the 2020 Virtual PlayLab Festival (Nov. 5-Dec. 11), and a streaming production of 'Clue' starring the theatre's ensemble of professional actors (Oct. 29-Nov. 1).

To open the new year, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Company, a witty musical look at marriage and relationships. Company features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to The Forum, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, Assassins). Book by George Furth. Performed by actors in grades 4-12, the young company Summer Festival includes 6 fully staged productions: family friendly Doctor Dolittle Jr., upbeat and classic High School Musical, and the quintessential Broadway musical Guys and Dolls. Our high school students continue the fun with the dazzling and ingenious Peter and the Starcatcher, hilarious toe-tapping The Drowsy Chaperone, and the powerful and political Cabaret.

Co-directed by IRNE Award Winner Sarah Gazdowicz and Laura Baronet, the young company at Stoneham Theatre presents William Shakespeare's Macbeth on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11AM as part of the Spring Shakespeare program. Journey to Scotland and explore the psychological effects of prophecies and political power. Macbeth discovers that he is fated to be King. This fate, however, proves to be more of a curse than a blessing as murder, political uprisings, and mayhem ensue. Provoked by his wife and preoccupied with greed, Macbeth begins a tragic descent into madness.
