Kushtrim Hoxha Biography

Kushtrim Hoxha will play Montano in Old Globe's Othello this summer directed by Barry Edelstein, Mr. Hoxha was recently seen in The Old Globe's The Winter's Tale, also in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, and The Merchant of Venice at The Old Globe’s 2013 Shakespeare Festival, as well as Much Ado About Nothing, Tartuffe and Measure for Measure with the Old Globe/USD M.F.A. Program. He has appeared in Rock ‘n’ Roll, King Lear, Sun Monkey, The Glass Menagerie, and Hamlet(National Theater of Kosovo), Patriotic Hypermarket (Bitef Theater, Belgrade), Yue Madeline Yue (Multimedia Center, Kosovo and Volkstheater, Vienna). He has performed in numerous theatre festivals such as Festival Iberoamericano in Bogota ,Columbia, Mess Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ex-Ponto Festival in Slovenia, VIE Scena Contemporanea Festival in Italy, ASSITEJ Festival in Sweden, Dezire Festival in Serbia, Durban Theatre Festival in South Africa, Skupi Festin Macedonia, and SKENA UP Festival in Kosovo.Kosovo. His film and television credits include Human Zoo, I Need You, and “Familja Moderne.” Mr. Hoxha studied Acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts at the University of Prishtina in Kosovo and received a B.A. in Theater Performance from Greensboro College and Master of Fine Arts from the Old Globe/ University of San Diego.

The Old Globe invites your participation and coverage as it begins presenting shows through an exciting new producing platform, Globe for All. This free-of-charge tour of a professional production of Shakespeare will allow the theatre to serve more communities throughout San Diego by collaborating with a diverse range of local organizations. Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein directs the first production, Shakespeare's fascinating romance All's Well That Ends Well. He has cast local professional actors, including recent graduates of the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program. The first Globe for All free Shakespeare tour will begin October 28 and will culminate in three low-cost performances on November 7 to 9 in the Globe's Hattox Hall, part of the Karen and Donald Cohn Education Center in the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

STAGE TUBE: Meet the Cast of Old Globe's 2013 Shakespeare Festival

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the 2013 Shakespeare Festival. Festival Artistic Director Adrian Noble returns to San Diego for his fourth and final year of Festival programming. The internationally acclaimed director will helm productions of William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice and Tom Stoppard's classic farce, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Laurence Olivier Award-nominated director Ian Talbot will make his Old Globe debut with the enduring Shakespeare favorite A Midsummer Night's Dream. The 2013 Shakespeare Festival, performed in repertory in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre, runs June 2 - Sept. 29. Subscription tickets from $66 to $270. Single tickets start at $29.
