The Unicorn has announced four new productions from as part of its upcoming season, including The Trial Of Josie K, Stiles And Drewe's The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Invisible Man, and Squirrel.

The Unicorn is responding to the times with a new digital theatre project Unicorn Online - a fresh, innovative approach to making online theatre for young audiences during the building's closure.

Theatre Royal Stratford East today announces the live-streaming of their acclaimed pantomime Rapunzel to children at Newham University Hospital, St Francis Hospice and Richard House Children's Hospice on 28 December at 2pm. Using the latest digital technology, the theatre will share this year's seasonal treat, Rapunzel written by Trish Cooke and Robert Hyman and directed by Associate Director of Theatre Royal Stratford East, Pooja Ghai. This special project has been made possible thanks to generous support from Galliard Homes and follows the success of last year's production of Sinbad the Sailor which was live-streamed to Newham University Hospital and Richard House Children's Hospice.

Featuring original music, laugh-out-loud comedy and hilarious audience participation, it's no surprise that Theatre Royal Stratford East's pantomime is known as one of the best in London ('Oh yes it is!').

WRITERS AVENUE THEATRE COMPANY, founded by its Artistic Director, Sandra Thompson-Quartey, specialises in finding, developing and staging new plays by first-time writers.   In June 2017 Writers Avenue will be moving into the award-winning Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton, London and will be programming work for the main theatre which features 130-150 seats within a highly flexible space. 

Theatre Royal Stratford East is to stage a new site-specific play written by local emerging East London playwright Lynette Linton. Chicken Palace is a fresh, funny and fast-paced one act thriller, which explores perceptions, stereotypes and post-traumatic stress disorder, whilst putting audiences in the middle of the action.
