Coeurage Theatre Company in Los Angeles (Jeremy Lelliott, Artistic Director; Nicole Monet, Executive Director), now beginning its eighth season, has announced its upcoming slate of three plays including Nicky, a world premiere by acclaimed LA playwright Boni B. Alavarez, Emilie: La Marquise du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight by Lauren Gunderson, and The Secret in the Wings by Mary Zimmerman.

Coeurage Theatre Company to Host Benefit Reading for KPCC Radio Host Steve Julian, 1/17


Coeurage Theatre Company (Jeremy Lelliott, Artistic Director; Nicole Monet, Managing Director), LA's only Pay What You Want company, has announced a special one night only reading of Head Over Heels, a play written and directed by Coeurage resident playwright Eric Czuleger, on Sunday, January 17 at 7:30pm at The Historic Lankershim Arts Center in North Hollywood. Proceeds from the event will go toward the ongoing medical care of Steve Julian, host of 'Morning Edition' on KPCC Radio and Coeurage board member.

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's 'Pay What You Want' Company, has announced the second production of its 2015 season, The Woodsman by Steven Fechter, directed by Jeremy Lelliott. The opening will be split between tonight, May 8 at 8pm and Saturday, May 9 at 8pm. The Woodsman will play through June 13 at the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre & Cafe in Silver Lake.

There will be two preview performances on Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 at 8pm and opening will be split between Friday, May 8 at 8pm and Saturday, May 9 at 8pm. The Woodsman will play through June 13 at the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre & Cafe in Silver Lake.

THE TROUBLE WITH WORDS is a song cycle that explores the relationship people have with words, as well as with each other, as they struggle to connect. In examining how human beings are brought together and pulled apart by words, the songs range from devastating to laugh-out-loud funny. I strongly encourage every musical theatre aficionado in Los Angeles to see this show as I cannot offer enough praise for the entire production.

The 2011 Ovation Award-winner for Original Music and Lyrics (Gregory Nabours), will once again be directed by Patrick Pearson and will run at The Lost Studio on S. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. There will be two preview performances tonight, February 28, and Friday, March 1 at 8pm, and opening is set for Saturday, March 2 at 8pm. The Trouble With Words will play through March 31 only.
