Roustabout Presents HAUNTED: THE GREAT LAKES GHOST PROJECT


Roustabout Theatre Troupe has reached the end of their first full season, having put down stakes at the Ypsilanti Experimental Space for 2019. For their final offering, they'll be presenting Joseph Zettelmaier's Haunted: The Great Lakes Ghost Project. In 2017, Michigan playwright Joseph Zettelmaier began a journey across his home state. He set about to collect a wide variety of ghost stories, true otherworldly encounters by Michiganders from Milan to Marquette. From these stories came a devised theatrical piece, weaving tales of the supernatural with one person's journey to answer the question that has haunted so many of us throughout our livesa??Do you believe in ghosts?

Williamston Theater Presents A National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere


Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, is proud to announce the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Doublewide by Stephen Spotswood. Performances begin Thursday, March 22 and run through Sunday, April 22. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, February 27 at Noon.

Performance Network Theatre Restores Phone System, Database; Kicks Off 3-Day Ticket Sale


Ann Arbor's professional theater, Performance Nework, recently announced its 32nd anniversary season, sparking great interest and excitement in the Ann Arbor community. And then its phone system went down. And then its online ticketing system crashed, leaving patrons with literally no way to buy the tickets they so desired. This week, after a nail-biting journey for staff and patrons, both the phone system and the database have been restored, and Performance Network is offering a special thank you to its stalwart fans for their patience, making tickets to its entire upcoming season available for a whopping 32% discount - in honor of its 32nd season.

VENUS IN FUR, OTHER DESERT CITIES & More Set for Performance Network's 2013-14 Season


Performance Network is proud to announce its 2013 -2014 season with epic plays and a musical revue extravaganza for its 32nd season in their intimate theatre located in Downtown Ann Arbor. The very first play of the season, 'An Iliad' adapted by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, begins on September 26th, 2013 as a one-man contemporary retelling of the famous poem, followed by 'Jerry's Girls' with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and concept by Larry Alford, Wayne Cilento, and Jerry Herman, the World Premiere of 'County Line' by Ann Arbor playwright David Wells, the sexy 'Venus in Fur' by David Ives, a reimagined 'Richard III' by William Shakespeare, Pulitzer Prize Finalist 'Other Desert Cities' by Jon Robin Baitz, and the World Premiere of 'The Renaissance Man' by Joseph Zettelmaier closing on September 7, 2014. The epically intimate season features works by famous and premiering playwrights that are cherished by New York and local critics while bringing diverse plays to the stage. While many theatres close for the summer months, Performance Network is full steam ahead, offering audiences an array of entertainment options, including the upcoming Fireside Festival of New Works. As part of the theatre's continued dedication to support and provide a voice for playwrights, the series will be held today, June 24 through June 27, 2012. This festival of staged readings will feature new works by four playwrights, including Network regulars Joseph Zettelmaier and Kim Carney.

The Official Opening Night is Thursday, April 1 with the show scheduled to run through Sunday, April 18. Performances will run Thursday and Friday evenings at eight o'clock, Saturday matinees at three o'clock and evenings at eight o'clock, and Sunday matinees at two o'clock. Please note there will be no performances on Sunday, April 4.
