​​​​​​​City College Center for the Arts (CCCA) is marking the 60-year history of the legendary, Cuban charanga band Orquesta Broadway on Friday, March 24 at Aaron Davis Hall's Marian Anderson Theatre, with a special concert featuring multi-award-winning flutist and educator Connie Grossman and esteemed flutist Karen Joseph.

The event will feature performances by Broadway's Amber Iman, Tony Award winner Gavin Creel, Sasha Allen, Jo Lampert, Obie Award winner Whitney White, Hoofer Award winner Ayodele Casel, and more.

R.Evolucion Latina -RL- has created Dance-A-Thon 2013, a fun and exciting event that will unite the community and continue this year's focus of cultural exchange through the arts. More than 250 participants from all ages and levels will be dancing different rhythms from Latin America and the Caribbean for five straight hours at the Baruch College Sports Center, 55 Lexington Ave, New York, New York. The Dance-A-Thon starts at 2pm on Saturday, December 14th.

Ivan Hernandez completes the cast as Salvador Agrón. All performances for the three night concert version of THE CAPEMAN will be at 8 p.m. Free tickets will be distributed the day of the show.

Following a series of tragic losses to the acting world this week, the NYC memorial service for Jorge E. Maldonado will take place on Jan. 25 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at 37 Arts, 450 West 37th St (at Tenth Ave) and to celebrate his life, a party will follow at Rosie O'Grady's, second floor, beginning at 6:30 PM. Rosie O'Grady's is located at 149 W. 46th St. (between Broadway & Sixth Avenue). The party will last into the evening, and friends are invited to come by whenever they can, and bring stories, memories and pictures.

A new and restaged 'Carmen,' directed by Cirque du Soleil's Franco Dragone, will premiere at La Jolla Playhouse beginning June 5, opening June 17.
