91 Central Productions presents character-driven contemporary theater relevant to international audiences.  The limited Off Broadway engagement of Safe by Penny Jackson will be at the Theatre at the 14th Y, 344 East 14th Street (1st & 2nd Avenue).  Previews begin September 18th and the Opening is Tuesday, September 20th at 7:00 pm.  The compelling play is directed by Glory Kadigan and stars Sawyer Spielberg, Meghan St. Thomas, Joel Nagle and Jill Schackner. The Set Designer is James Dardenne, with Costumes Designed by Cheryl McCarron, Lighting Design by Benjamin Ehrenreich and Sound Design by Jacob Subotnick. Sundance Institute Announces Acting Company & Collaborators for Fall Musical and Ensemble Lab at MASS MoCA

The Sundance Institute Theatre Program announced the acting company and collaborators for the three projects being developed at its Fall Lab, which begins today at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Artistic Director of the Theatre Program, and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the two-week Lab provides creative support and direction for innovative musical theatre and ensemble-generated projects.
