Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse and City Theatre Company have launched a new initiative titled Homegrown Stories designed to support artists and alumni.

12 Peers Theater begins their eighth main stage season with Blank, featuring the return of White Rabbit Red Rabbit playwright Nassim Soleimanpour and his latest 'story machine.' Blank features a script full of blanks, to be filled by the audience in attendance and a new performer at every performance, ensuring no two performances are the same.

12 Peers Theater begins their eighth season with Mythburgh, a site-specific performance and storytelling series. Exploring the myths, both fact and fiction, that make Pittsburgh great, Mythburgh continues to create and tell locally sourced legends with local artists.

Executive Producers AKA Studio Productions (“Rules of Cool,” Fullscreen) and Kierstead Productions (Broadway's Pretty Woman, Kinky Boots, Waitress) are pleased to announce the world premiere of the pilot episode for the original drama series Mulligan, an “Official Selection” at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Festival, one of three pilots in the world chosen to be screened at the prestigious festival.  The screening is set for Tuesday evening, September 26, 2018 at 7:15 p.m. at the Arc Light Theater (9500 Culver Blvd) in Culver City, CA.

Milo de Venus is a world premiere play by Brian Pope, featuring local actors Joanna Getting, Hazel Leroy, Jalina McClarin, Max Reusing, and Mike Zolovich, and directed by Shannon Knapp. It is the inaugural production of a new theatrical collective Non-State Actors. In the play, a young artist (McClarin) spends money she doesn't have to pay for an art class from a famous local visual artist (Getting) only to find out that the man (Reusing) she has been messaging on Tinder is the class's model.
