CityPickle, New York City's home for pickleball, and Wollman Park Partners are announcing that the country's fastest-growing sport is coming to Wollman Rink in Central Park from April 7 to October 9.

Last night in New York, Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research hosted the Angel Ball 2018 which raises money for blood cancer research.  The gala, which took place at Cipriani Wall Street, honored Dottie Herman, Douglas Elliman CEO; Monte Lipman, Founder and Chairman of Republic Records, Avery Lipman, Founder and President of Republic Records; and Harvey Spevak, Executive Chairman & Managing Partner, Equinox.

Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (RPAF) raised over $1.1 million at its annual ART FOR LIFE Benefit on July 15th at Fairview Farms in Bridgehampton, NY. Proceeds from ART FOR LIFE benefit the Foundation's signature arts education and gallery programs, which have directly served tens of thousands of inner-city youth over the past 20 years.

This week, Parks kicks off New Year, New You, a 12-week challenge that encourages physical activity, healthy eating, and overall wellness. More than 30 Shape Up NYC fitness class sites will offer one Kick-off Day, when staff will take 'before' measurements including height, weight, strength (# of pushups and sit-ups), flexibility (sit and reach), and body fat percentage, to allow participants to track their fitness and weight loss goals.

The NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, NYC Service and Equinox Fitness Clubs today launched the first week of its expanded Shape Up NYC, a free citywide fitness program that targets neighborhoods with high rates of obesity and obesity related disease.
