The adaptation of Chaim Potok's 1972 novel follows the story of a young Jewish man whose artistic talent separates him from his traditional family and threatens his relationship with community and faith. JAMES MASLOW, the actor and singer perhaps best known for playing the role of James Diamond in Nickelodeon's 'Big Time Rush' and a member of the band with the same name, will star as the legendary Dr.John Watson, along with RENNE OLSTEAD, best known for her role as Lauren Miller in the TV sitcom 'Still Standing,' and as Madison Cooperstein in 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager,' as the well-to-do-American, Lady Irene St. John, opposite DAVID ARQUETTE in the title role as SHERLOCK HOLMES. The Canadian premiere of THE GOODNIGHT BIRD, Centaur Theatre's fourth play of six in the 2014-15 season, plays from February 24 to March 22, 2015. The joint production with Vancouver's Kay Meek Centre, where the production made its Western Canadian premiere in January, is written by Colleen Murphy and directed by Centaur's Artistic and Executive Director, Roy Surette.
