Center for Puppetry Arts to Stage ASHES


Multiple mysterious house fires are rattling a small Norwegian community. As homes are burnt to cinders, neighbors wonder who among them could cause such fear and anguish. Inspired by true events and based on the best-selling Norwegian novel by Gaute Heivoll, Ashes is an emotional thriller that has a shocking twist and examines the fire burning in the heart of every human being. Playing at the Center for Puppetry Arts from March 1-3, the acclaimed production will be performed by Plexus Polaire of France and Norway.

DTC presents THE GREAT SOCIETY, Co-Produced with Houston's Alley Theatre


2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center (DTC) presents The Great Society at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. A co-production with the Alley Theatre and directed by DTC Enloe/Rose Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty, The Great Society begins on March 9 and runs through April 1. La Maupin is an official selection of the 2017 Fresh Fruit Festival. Written by native New Jersey brother-and-sister writing team (Book and lyrics by Jessie Field; music by Jared Field), La Maupin will be presented for the first time as a full production today, July 18 at 6:30pm Friday, July 21 at 6:30pm, and Saturday, July 22 at 2pm at The Wild Project in downtown Manhattan.

ABT Announces New Promotions


Jeffrey Cirio has been promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre and Blaine Hoven has been promoted to Soloist.  The promotions, announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie, become effective August 1, 2016.

BWW Interview: Chris Alloways-Ramsey


Chris Alloways-Ramsey began his early training with Barbara (Olewine) Wouters, later completing his classical training with Mira Popovich and Dame Sonia Arova. He attended summer programs on full merit scholarships at Kirov Academy, School of American Ballet, Houston Ballet Academy, and San Francisco Ballet. Her graduated from high school at North Carolina School of the Arts with a focus in Ballet and received his A.L.B, cum laude, from Harvard University in 2003.

New York Premiere of Daniil Simkin's INTENSIO Set for Joyce Theater


The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc.
