Roundabout Theatre Company and Columbia University School of the Arts have announced the winners of Columbia@Roundabout's 2019 New Play Reading Series. As part of the collaborative partnership between Roundabout Theatre Company and Columbia University, the reading series awards three playwrights from the current MFA program and recent alumni with a cash prize as well as a reading in Roundabout's Rehearsal Hall, followed by a post-reading reception. The reading series is made possible by a grant from The Tow Foundation.   

The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans (CAC) is pleased to announce Nufonia Must Fall by Kid Koala will be presented at the CAC for a two-performance run on April 14-15, 2017at 7:30pm as part of the company's spring tour. These exciting performances will take place in the CAC's newly-renovated industrial warehouse space and will be an experience to be enjoyed by all ages.

The Downtown Urban Theater Festival just presented playwright/director/actor Danny Hoch with the 2015 DUTF Playwright Masters Award at this year's Opening Night event at 40/40 Club (6 West 25th Street, NYC). The DUTF Playwright Masters Award is awarded to a writer that embodies the spirit of the Downtown Urban Theater Festival, founded in 2001 with the purpose of building a fresh repertoire of stories that echo the true spirit of urban life, while speaking to a whole new generation whose lives defy categorizing along conventional lines. Previous honorees of the DUTF Playwright Masters Award include Nilo Cruz (Pulitzer Prize winner for Anna in the Tropics) and Adrienne Kennedy (OBIE Award winner for Funnyhouse of a Negro).

Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) opened on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 with sold-out performances of The Rules of the World, written by Lavinia Roberts, and The Last Day of Oscar Wilde's Life, written by Adam Esquenazi Douglas.
