Donald Kramer

The Board of Governing Trustees of American Ballet Theatre has elected Andrew F. Barth Chairman and Brian J. Heidtke President.  The elections, which become effective immediately, were announced today by Kara Medoff Barnett, ABT Executive Director.  Barth succeeds Donald Kramer who has held the position as Chairman since 2011. Heidtke succeeds Sharon Patrick who has served as President since 2009.

Broadway producer and former Lincoln Center executive Kara Medoff Barnett has been appointed as American Ballet Theatre's Executive Director, effective February 16, 2016. The announcement was made today by Donald Kramer, Chairman of The Board of Governing Trustees at ABT.

ABT Opening Night Gala at City CenterAmerican Ballet Theatre's Opening Night Gala at New York City Center on Tuesday, October 16 celebrated the 70th anniversary of Agnes de Mille's Rodeo with a special tribute to the ballet's premiere. First performed by the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo on October 16, 1942 at the Metropolitan Opera House, de Mille's groundbreaking Western ballet features a unique combination of ballet and Broadway-style dancing set to Aaron Copland's famous score.
