Last night, the American Film Institute awarded Morgan Freeman with their 39th Life Achievement Award in Culver City, Los Angeles. During the evening, clips of Freeman's films were presented by stars such as Clint Eastwood, Tim Robbins, Forest Whitaker, Garth Brooks and Betty White.

Michael Riedel reports in his Broadway Matinee column in the The New York Post today that while 'SPIDER-MAN, Turn Off The Dark' may have hit a snag on the road to Broadway, a friendly 'superhero' is trying to 'swing' in to get things rolling again.

The iconic rock band U2 graces the cover of Rolling Stone this month, the mega group is also featured inside in a wide ranging interview by writer Brian Hiatt.
