What did our critic think of TOOTSIE at The Aronoff Center? As theatre innovates and reinvents, the days of the old-time musical comedies are all but behind us. But the broadway musical adaption of Tootsie (based on the 1982 film), is a welcome and refreshing musical comedy. The story is simple: an out of work actor needs a job, that actor gets hired in disguise as a woman, and deceit and hilarity ensues.

Tootsie, the musical comedy based on the 1982 film of the same name, is visiting The Bushnell now through February 26th. With music and lyrics by David Yazbek and book by Robert Horn, this Tony-Award winning show shines a light on society's treatment of women and the trouble with show business, all while delivering laughs galore.

The newly renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents the hilarious Tony Award-winning musical, Tootsie, for four performances on Friday, November 4 at 8pm; Saturday, November 5 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, November 6 at 2pm. Tickets range from $40-$98.
