Chicago Human Rhythm Project's 33nd Annual International Festival of American Tap presents performances, education programs and CHRP's annual Gala 'Jubalee' at five venues around Chicago featuring generations of celebrated artists from around the globe directed by CHRP Artistic Director, Jumaane Taylor. July 18th at the MCA, Chicago, Chicago Human Rhythm Project will honor Chicago philanthropists and visionaries, Paul Levy & Mia Park and the Broadway sensation Paradise Square with the JUBA! Award for Exceptional Contributions to the Field at its annual gala benefit, Jubalee!

 The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), celebrating 25 years of creating community through American tap and contemporary percussive arts in world-class, innovative performance, education and outreach programs, welcomed 10-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune at its 25th Anniversary Jubalee Gala. This special evening, hosted by WGN's Dean Richards, took place July 30 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, 220 E. Chicago Ave., Chicago. Attended by 270 people, the event raised $212,000 from a combination of ticket sales, silent and live auction proceeds, table sponsorships and individual and corporate contributions.

Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director David Staller, presented George Bernard Shaw's 1894 comedy, Arms and the Man, on Monday, January 27 at 7pm, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2895 Broadway at 95th St). The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), the world's first year-round presenter of American tap dance and contemporary percussive arts, honors Mayor Rahm Emanuel with its JUBA! Award at JUBALEE, CHRP's annual gala benefit supporting performance, education and community programs that reach more than 20,000 people every year. This special evening, hosted by broadcast legend and civic leader Bill Kurtis, takes place October 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.

The USC School of Theatre, considered one of the premiere theatre schools in the country, launches a new tradition by honoring celebrated actor/director Robert Redford with the newly established 'Robert Redford Award for Engaged Artists' at an inaugural gala fundraiser on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 6:30 p.m., at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
