Comedian Jim Gaffigan is getting serious for his next role. Variety reports that he is set to star in the dramatic thriller ALL THE ANIMALS COME OUT AT NIGHT.

Today the LA Film Festival, produced by Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that also produces the Film Independent Spirit Awards, unveiled the official U.S. Fiction, Documentary, World Fiction, Nightfall and LA Muse sections.

Bravo Media announced today they have picked up two new scripted pilots slated to commence production early 2013. Both pilots center on the complex dynamics of modern families. 'Rita,' produced by Fox Television Studios, and 'The Joneses,' produced by ABC Studios, are part of the network's overall strategy to expand its non-scripted original programming slate into the scripted genre. Bravo plans to debut its first original scripted series in the fourth quarter of 2013.
