Chicken & Biscuits, a rollicking family comedy by Douglas Lyons, opens April 19 at TheatreSquared (477 W. Spring St., Fayetteville) and runs through May 14.

HEAVEN COME HOME staged reading will be held for free August 20th in Omaha.

THE COLOR PURPLE to Open in March at The Omaha Community Playhouse


The Omaha Community Playhouse production of The Color Purple will open Friday, March 4, 2022. The show will run in the Hawks Mainstage Theatre through March 27 with performances Wednesdays through Sundays.

HEAVEN COME HOME Reading Will Be Performed at the University of Nebraska at Omaha This Week


“Heaven Come Home,” a new musical in development, will be presented as an in-person staged reading on Saturday, January 15 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the Weber Fine Arts Building, located on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus. This reading is a collaboration between UNO Theatre and Megan Ann Rasmussen Productions.

Arkansas New Play Festival Begins Friday With LOVE BE LIKE


TheatreSquared announced today that the  2020 Arkansas New Play Festival will begin this week, with its first production slated for a streamed reading performance on June 26 at 7pm following an intensive workshop that began June 15.

This has been an unusual weekend for me. I had the privilege of attending two compelling plays written by African Americans about African Americans and performed by African Americans. Both shows are moving presentations that made me laugh. They made me cry. And they made me view the lives of families very different from my own with a new sense of understanding.

The Omaha Community Playhouse is announcing its Alternative Programming series for the 2017-18 season. Alternative Programming includes a series of staged readings, special events and play development collaborations. All events are held at OCP.
