March Is Cabaret Month Festival Opens At The Triple Door in February


Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association presents an all-star opening night at The Triple Door to launch Seattle's March Is Cabaret Month Festival 2019. Hosted by festival director and drag chanteuse Arnaldo!, the evening features acclaimed Weimar Berlin-inspired cabaret band The Love Markets, led by singer-songwriter Angie Louise; lush-voiced comedic vocal trio The Sirens Of Swing; and purveyors of infectious mid-century jazz and swing Sweet Spot Combo. March Is Cabaret Month is presented in association with The Cricket Foundation and Brian Silkworth & Bill Colter.

Luminaries from the hotel and tourism industries were treated to a special live performance from Broadway's Ashley Brown as the Hotel Association of New York City (HANYC) hosted the "Red Carpet Hospitality Gala," HANYC's Annual Dinner on Monday, November 26, 2018. A veteran Broadway actress, Brown played Belle in Beauty and the Beast and originated the title role in Mary Poppins. The fundraiser took place at JW Marriott Essex House in Manhattan. A portion of the proceeds from the gala will go towards the HANYC Scholarship Fund.

Photo Flash: Renaissance Hotel Teams Up With Broadway


Last night, the newly renovated Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square, in partnership with Gotham Magazine, unveiled the future of Renaissance Hotels & Resorts to over 200 VIP guests and celebs including Cheyenne Jackson, co-star of the Broadway musical Xanadu, and Lindsay Price of NBC's Lipstick Jungle. The evening's hosts were designer Jordan Mozer and hotelier David Marriott with special guest Kerry Butler, star of Broadway's hit show, Xanadu. This grand 'discovery' celebration showcased Renaissance's latest innovations in design and décor, technology, culinary arts and signature cocktails. The Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel recently completed a $24 million makeover. Last evening's event showcased artist designer Jordan Mozer's provocative new design, inspired by the pulsating neighborhood of Times Square. Gues s mingled in the hotel's newly completed lobby bar and great room space, an area designed specifically for today's travelers, who transition smoothly between work and play. Consulting chef Zak Pelaccio's Asian-inspired foo was served throughout the evening, from the hotel's Chop Suey restaurant. Guests also enjoyed signature 'Cocktail Culture' cocktails, the brand's new twist on drink mixology that brings the guest into the creative process.
