In honor of Valentine's Day, the River Street Theatre in Jaffrey will be presenting a double-feature evening of two classic romantic films. For one $8.00 ticket, you can see Royal Wedding and Made for Each Other. The double-feature begins at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 14.

Made for Each Other, a beloved 1939 comedy-drama starring James Stewart and Carole Lombard and directed by John Cromwell, is one of several classics featured in the March 2017 lineup of Reel 13.

Frank Capra's 1941 comedy-drama Meet John Doe is featured in the August lineup on Reel 13. In Meet John Doe, director Frank Capra makes powerful political statements that seem prescient today.

The musical comedy Gentleman Prefer Blondes is featured in the abbreviated June lineup on Reel 13. 

Victoria Theatre Association's annual Summer Cool Films Series continues 2016's celebration of Victoria Theatre's 150th Anniversary with a special line up of films celebrating the time when generations of Daytonians came to the "Victory" to see the latest movie release. The Summer Cool Films Series runs July 8-August 28 and includes Reel Late at the Vic late night movies and daytime Family Films!  Beginning July 8, VTA will set out the popular FREE popcorn and FREE soda plus some FREE nostalgia at the historic Victoria Theatre. The 2015 series will run today, June 5-August 9 at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) and will feature 29 films over nine weeks (no films scheduled for the week of the Fourth of July).

Howard Hawks, the quintessential Hollywood director known for his mastery of many genres, will be the subject of a complete retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image from today, September 7 through November 10, 2013. The Museum will present 39 features. All of the films will be shown in 35mm-many in stunning restorations-except for Red Line 7000, which will be shown in 16mm.

Playwright Liam O'Brien honors, by reference and imitation, the great George Bernard Shaw, who died two years before PENNYPACKER's premiere. The play, O'Brien's only work for the stage, was founded on a true story that occurred in O'Brien's family.
