BIO
Carmen is actor & singer and proud member of the professional actor unions: SAG-AFTRA and AEA. She's appeared in film & television and performed in NYC theatre, cabaret, regional theatre and summer stock. Recent credits includes playing Mrs. Robinson in _The Graduate_ at WaterTower Theatre in Dallas.
Originally from Corpus Christi, TX, Carmen lived in many cities a Navy brat calls home including Brunswick, ME, Monterey, CA, Annandale, VA, San Jose, CA. and Middletown, RI. Her dad, a naturalized citizen from Mexico, is retired career US Navy having served as a sailor and pilot flying reconnaissance missions during Vietnam off the USS Hancock and USS Lexington. Her mom is a retired military wife, was a hairstylist and retail salesperson.
Carmen holds a BA in Communications and Theatre from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, and an MA in Theatre at Hunter College. She is co-director of the Pre-College Conservatory at Neighborhood Playhouse and teaches theatre history in the adult program.
She lives in New York City with her husband and son, rides her bike, and follows a plant-based diet.
