Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Camilo Estrada is a New York based actor and singer with an emphasis on classical voice technique. Since moving to New York in the fall of 2016 Camilo has joined the company of the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players performing in their production of The Mikado. Camilo has also been featured in a workshop performance of the new musical The Tiny Mustache and has performed with several different ensembles throughout the New York area. He was most recently seen performing the role of Aladdin in People's Light's production of Aladdin: A Musical Panto. Other recent roles include Pásek in P?íhody lišky Bystroušky (The Cunning Little Vixen) as well as El Remendado (Carmen) in a collection of opera scenes with dell'Arte Opera Ensemble.

Comfortable and well versed in both opera and musical theatre, Camilo has performed a variety of roles ranging from Nikos and Mr. Woods in Legally Blonde to the tenor in Philip Glass's hauntingly beautiful minimalistic chamber opera, Hydrogen Jukebox. Other opera roles include Mercurio in La Calisto, Cecco in Il Mondo Della Luna, and Tom Gagg in The Beggar's Opera all with the Carnegie Mellon School of Music. Musical theatre credits also include Charley Kringas in Merrily we Roll Along, Charles Guiteau in Assassins, Javert in Les Misérables, and Gilles André in The Phantom of the Opera.
Camilo Estrada began his musical journey at the age of eight singing with the St. Thomas More Children's Choir. As his passion for music grew he went on to join the award winning Pasadena Boys choir in 2006 with the hopes of furthering his musicianship and technique. With the groups he was able to perform in several different venues including St. Peter's Basilica and collaborate with artists such as Thirty Seconds to Mars. He shortly after attended the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where he graduated cum laude with a classical voice emphasis. Camilo then furthered his musical studies at Carnegie Mellon University under the direction of Daniel Teadt. He graduated magna cum laude in 2016 with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in vocal performance.
