The Cult have announced the release of their new album, Under The Midnight Sun, produced by Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood) and coming out via Black Hill Records. The release of “Mercenaries” is fittingly accompanied with a striking official video. Directed by Mark Jordan (a longtime friend of the band), the video holds a candle to revolutionary writers such as William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin, while also paying homage to Throbbing Gristle trailblazer Genesis Breyer P-Orridge.

Provocatively extreme performance artist Ron Athey comes to the UK for the first time since 2014 for the British premieres of his new show Acephalous Monster. As well as performances in Glasgow, London, Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge, Norwich and Colchester he will be giving lectures at Glasgow University and London's Queen Mary University and running workshops at Toynbee Studios in London.

A World in Trance, now in its fifth edition, has been host to some of the world's most captivating music, bringing people together in search of enlightenment and spirituality. This year's festival continues with the intoxicating sounds of Bachir Attar and Mustapha Attar of the legendary Master Musicians of Jajouka in a riveting meeting with American musicians Ned Rothenberg, Arrington de Dionyso and Ben Bennett. Inspired by the electrifying sounds of the Master Musicians, this ensemble of musicians from both sides of the Atlantic – Morocco and the US - explore the potential for sound to trigger a state of ecstasy.

As announced last week, Incubator Arts Project is closing its doors. Before the organization leaves St. Mark's, the group is presenting WSB 100 by William S Burroughs as part of its final lineup of artists.

WSB100 is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of America's preeminent avant garde literary iconoclast: William S. Burroughs, writer of Naked Lunch, Queer, Junky, and many other experimental works of great American literature. Provocative, disturbing, and exciting as the artist himself, WSB100 and Incubator Arts hosts a series of original world premiere performances in honor of the legendary mindbending troublemaker himself.
