Danish actress Birgitte Hjort Sorensen (Pitch Perfect 2, 'Vinyl') will make her Broadway debut as 'Madame de Tourvel' alongside Tony Award winners Janet McTeer and Liev Schreiber in the Donmar Warehouse production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Christopher Hampton, directed by the Donmar's Artistic Director Josie Rourke. Ms. Sorensen previously appeared on the Donmar stage in Ms. Rourke's 2014 production of Coriolanus opposite Tom Hiddleston.

Broadcast direct from National Theatre in London, Shakespeare's Coriolanus will mesmerize on Sunday, February 16, at 6:30 p.m. at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Birgitte Hjort Sorensen plays the role of Virgilia, and Tom Hiddleston stars as Coriolanus. An old adversary threatens Rome, and the city calls once more on her hero and defender, Coriolanus. But he has enemies at home, too. Famine threatens the city, the citizens' hunger swells to an appetite for change, and on returning from the field, Coriolanus must confront the march of realpolitik and the voice of an angry people in this Shakespearean play. For dinner-and-a-show, Bernard's (22 West Lane, Ridgefield) is offering a special $45 prix-fixe menu, or a free glass of wine with dinner before these events, when tickets are presented; reservations suggested beginning at 5 p.m. This event is underwritten by Jeanne Cook, Anita and Nicholas Donofrio, Liz and Steven Goldstone, Marilyn and Joe Kreitz, Joanne and John Patrick, Starbucks Coffee, Sabina and Walter Slavin, Taylor Zemo Foundation, The Ridgefield Press and Whistle Stop Bakery.

London's Donmar Warehouse will soon present CORIOLANUS, running December 6- February 8. Josie Rourke directs Shakespeare's searing tragedy of political manipulation and revenge, with Tom Hiddleston making his return to the Donmar in the title role. Check out photos of the cast in rehearsal below!

Actress and director Kathy Burke has come up with a cast for her revamp of playwright Mary O'Malley's 1977 play ONCE A CATHOLIC. Burke will direct the production at the Tricycle Theatre, beginning November 21.

The Daily Mail reports that Richard Fleeshman, who just participated in a workshop production of the new BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM musical and last starred in the West End's GHOST, will soon be starring in a slightly more 'low-brow' role. He will play 'Bobby Strong' in the London debut of URINETOWN at the St. James Theatre, beginning February 22, 2014.

According to the Daily Mail, the upcoming musical adaptation of BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM held a developmental workshop last Saturday, October 5. Stage and screen star Samantha Barks played 'Jules' -- who was portrayed by Keira Knightley in the 2002 movie -- alongside Tara Divina as 'Jess' (originated by Parminder Nagra on screen) in the starring role.
