Arian Nik

Nik began his acting career in theatre in 2016, appearing as Jack in Remedial Remedies at Upstairs at The Gatehouse in London. That year, he also voiced Ammar Elkady in the Doctor Who audio drama Absolute Power from Big Finish Productions. In 2017, he played Karlmann in The Ugly One at the Park Theatre in London and Terry Smallbone in The Last Testament of Lillian Bilocca at Hull Truck Theatre in Kingston upon Hull. He appeared as Mekhal in The Village at Theatre Royal Stratford East in 2018 and as Chris in Pufferfish at the VAULT Festival and Stadsschouwburg in Amsterdam in 2019. He also co-developed Cracked for the Arcola Theatre in London.

Nik made his television debut in 2019, appearing as Jay in an episode of Killing Eve and as Yusef Ibrahim in an episode of Ackley Bridge. His film debut followed in 2020 with roles as Kanker in Artemis Fowl and Adam in Dating Amber. He also appeared as Kalari Ramecker in an episode of Van der Valk and as Hamed Khan in an episode of Doctors in 2020.

In 2021, Nik played Theo Anvari in three episodes of The Bay and Josh Cooper in 12 episodes of Still So Awkward. He appeared as Abdul Kashani in the 2022 film Allelujah and as Jude in the short film The Bower. On stage in 2022, he played Farook in Kabul Goes Pop: Music Television Afghanistan at Brixton House and on an England tour, and portrayed various roles in Sokhan Begoo at the Royal Court Theatre. Nik received an Apolo Awards nomination for Best Ensemble Cast for Dating Amber in 2021 and an Offie nomination for Lead Performance in a Play for Kabul Goes Pop in 2022.

In 2023, Nik played the title role of Abdulla Khan in the six-episode ITVX comedy horror series Count Abdulla. He also appeared as Rashid in the stage production Blue Mist in 2023. In 2024, he played Nish Chowdry in the six-episode series Passenger and Tommy in the film The Beekeeper. He also began playing Xander in Daddy Issues, appearing in nine episodes from 2024 to the present.

Nik played Kamran in four episodes of Film Club in 2025 and Sameer in the stage production Speed at the Bush Theatre in London that year. He also portrayed Riath Hamed in the 2025 film Giant. In 2026, he appeared as Kav Kishan in The Split Up.
