Remember that song lyric “with Barons and Earls”……..Sophisticated, well heeled and well dressed New Yorkers came to the most elegant spot in New York City, The Pierre on Fifth Avenue last night as KT Sullivan brought Broadway and Cabaret to the iconic hotel's Two E Lounge. It was truly a royal audience in every way (check out the photos). They came to the 90 year hotel which was home to Elizabeth Taylor, hosted Rex Harrison and wife renewing their vows, and was where Yves St Laurent debuted his first US Collection, to hear arguably one of the finest artists in the world of Cabaret, KT Sullivan.

The renowned Russian painter and sculptor Zurab Tsereteli - President of the Russian Academy of Arts and Founder/Director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art - will have a rare exhibit of his works, with an opening set for Friday, June 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan.

Yesterday June 2, the National Arts Club in New York City hosted the Gold Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement in Music award presentation. On Monday, May 4th, Legendary Canadian-born director, Norman Jewison, was awarded The National Arts Club's prestigious Medal of Honor for Film at a dinner held in his honor the historic Gramercy Park venue in New York City.

The National Arts Club announced the recipients of its Kesselring Fellowship (formerly the Kesselring Award) supporting the work of extraordinary playwrights who have yet to achieve national recognition. An industry panel of writers, literary managers, actors, producers and directors and critics evaluated twenty-five finalists. In a rare move based on extraordinary merit, the 2009 panel and the National Arts Club choose to give out two lead awards rather than one. These two playwrights, Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghad Zoo, upcoming at the Mark Taper Forum) and David Adjmi (Stunning, upcoming at Lincoln Center 3) were awarded Kesselring Fellowships. Playwrights Jenny Schwartz and Tarrel Alvin McCraney were also named as Kesselring Honorees

The opening reception of the 'Rights of Passage' exhibition at the National Arts Club took place on Friday, September 26th.
