On the morning of Monday, April 26, 1943, the Duke of Connaught, 12th in line to the Throne, died suddenly at Rideau Hall. It was officially stated that Connaught, 28 and unmarried, had died ‘of natural causes.’ His Grace is a fictional reconstruction of the Duke’s time in Canada, from the fall of 1942 until his death six months later. Anchored in original historical research, His Grace speculates as to the circumstances surrounding the young Duke’s mysterious demise in wartime Ottawa.
