Great Canadian Theatre Company will continue its 25-26 Season with Big Stuff - written, created by, and starring Matt Baram & Naomi Snieckus, a real-life married comedy duo, and co-created and directed by Kat Sandler. Big Stuff is currently touring Canada after a highly successful run in Toronto last year, where it was held over for two additional weeks, and appeared in several “best theatre of 2024” lists, including The Globe and Mail and Intermission Magazine.

As the show unfolds, married comedy duo Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus invite you to join them in exploring some Big Stuff. Applying their unique style of humour, shaped by their time at The Second City and in comedy clubs around the world, Baram and Snieckus debate the sentimental power of objects and the transformative potential of finding newfound community in one another.

Theatre Critic Glenn Sumi called this show ‘transcendent' and ‘miraculous', saying “nothing prepared me for the range of emotions and the artful mixture of laughs and tears conjured up in Big Stuff.”

“Big Stuff is a tender and irresistibly funny theatrical comedy that celebrates the things we carry and the stories they hold. You'll leave with a tear in your eye and a smile on your face,” says Barum. “Audience members have said they come into the theatre as strangers and leave as friends," adds Snieckus.

Big Stuff will run for two weeks at GCTC's Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre. New this season, evening performances begin at 7:30 PM.
