This ensemble play revisits the revolutionary docudrama The Laramie Project, the true story behind the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, a young Laramie, Wyoming college student. Two men received life convictions for the crime, believed to be motivated by homophobic hate. In 2008, ten years later, the team that wrote the
original Laramie returned to the town that was forever changed by Matthew’s death. The Laramie Project : 10 Years Later looks at the wounds of the past, the discomfort in the present, and the hope for the future
